Equal Pay Day marks the point in the year at which women's earnings will finally match what men made the previous year. To raise awareness about the national gender wage gap, Lean In DC will host an exclusive happy hour event at District Winery (385 Water St SE) in Washington, D.C., on April 9th from 6-8:30 p.m.

You'll hear from leading voices in the fight for equal pay, and learn what you can do to help narrow the gender wage gap. Plus, you'll get an inside scoop on how you can support those who stand up for pay equity throughout the day on April 10th - this year's Equal Pay Day.

District Winery will generously provide a private event space along with wine, cheese and other accompaniments to all attendees!

What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event?

The venue is a short walk from wheaton metro station and there is a nearby parking garage that is free on weekends. Address to the parking garage will be sent out via email to paid attendees.

    How to Plan and Save for Vacation

    I love vacations. Traveling is one of the best ways to experience the world while recharging. However, half of Americans do not use their time off from work. Why is that? I think it’s for a couple reasons:

    1. They fear they’ll lose their jobs if they take time off.

    2. They can’t afford (or think they can’t afford) to travel.

    I want to help change at least part of that! Come to Money Circle in September to learn how you can plan ahead and save for the vacation of your dreams.

    Money Circle is a safe open space where women can ask questions, air their fears, brag about accomplishments, and be honest about any confusion they may have around money.

    Light snacks and wine will be provided.

    Payment: You will be redirected Paypal to process your payment. Once completed, you will receive an email with details for the evening.

    Refunds: Money Circle is a limited seating event. I also purchase wine and snacks based on the number of women joining us.
